At times, we look around us, and see other people who are not even Christians living 'a better life' than we are, 'a better life' in quote, so to speak, we wonder why things seems to be working for them, rather than us, those whom we started out with, but aren't Christians, or even our unbelieving friends whom we left for the Lord. Isaiah 1:28 says "But rebels and sinners will both be broken, and those who forsake the LORD will perish".
If you are in this category, God has a message for you today, "Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord all the day long". He is saying to you today, "don't mind them". Continue holding on to God and be faithful, because He has got a great plan for you. Your reward in God is sure, as sure as the sun will remain in the sky and as God is still God, so don't fret or be tempted to compromise. God whom you are serving will come through for you. Job went through a similar situation, he was suffering as a saint of God and just didn't understand, but he stood his ground and God gave him double for all his trouble.
A song writer said 'I don’t mind waiting on you Lord…..'. It might seem that God’s way is longer than the world’s way, but you can be rest assured that God’s way will outlast the world’s way. “I know that everything God does will remain forever; there is nothing to add to it and there is nothing to take from it, for God has so worked that men should fear Him - Ecc 3:14.
Sticking with God does pay at the end…... Job 36:11 says 'If they obey and serve him, they will spend the rest of their days in prosperity and their years in contentment', it's just a matter of time, you will be better off in every area of your life.
Confession
My heart will not envy unbelievers, but I will continue holding on to God and will enjoy my reward. Halleluyah!

ReplyDeleteMoby thanks for this word.you won't believe it but just yesterday I heard a friend of mine that is a runs girl just bought a car.moby I work hard,I'm very prayerful and I'm very beautiful but 3 square meal no sure at times.and one voice in my head was just saying I should just go and be doing runz. I woke up this morning to just check up on your blog and I saw this message. I feel like God is talking to me through this blog.thanks Moby. Keep it up.

ReplyDeleteHmm...this post is biased..know why?..cuz you seem to have passed judgement on people based on what you see around you... that girl you call 'runs girl' may have a sick and dying baby at home ... that woman you see doing voodoo may have lost her only son to armed robbery... that drunk man you see in the club with strippers may have just lost his family in a car crash... ------->> having said that we all worship God differently, if you follow life's natural rule, the EARTH is the Lord and the fullness thereof..Jesus NEVER lacked while he was on earth...so if you are lacking anything, you need to check your ways dear.....---> You just called someone a Sinner...when did you become a judge?
ReplyDeleteHmmmnn...Tibs...s funny as it may seem...u hv a point...but knowing what I know now, there is no grey line between good and bad...if u r a. christian or a Muslim and u r true to ur religion u would know dat circumstances around u shldnt decide ur actions....mind u Jesus Christ lacked a lot as a man....he didn't hv a home (he moved around)...he didn't hav trust worthy friends (he ws sold and denied 3 times) and to top it, d people He came 2 save crucified Him....Job in d bible went thru worse and still stood firm....the truth is loosing ur family shldnt push u to promiscuity...nuffin shld push u to sin...This post is to tell u that God wld never leave u no matter wat u go thru...and that u shld neva giv up on God...don't envy any1...stay on ur course....Gods tot 4 u r tots of good not evil....just a concerned sister talking sha.....lol
DeleteEmelisha, why don't you look at this frm another angle..That 'runs girl' might be plying her trade with another womans husband...d voodoo woman might harm someone else's child...the man with strippers might hav his wife at home...or worse be getting lap dances from his friends daughter, his daughters friend or someones sister...someone like you...so I ask is there any justifiable reason to take a bad route in life?..sorry to say this, bt if ur brother does smthn very bad 2 me..wld it be ok 2 take is case 2 a herbalist?...having said that...good can only be measured by evil....less evil=more good..so its wise 2 identify evil and stay clear...a runs girl is a runs girl..wether she hs a 'good' motive...and if sm1 sees dat and decides nt to take dat route cos of its ills, den we shld laud d person. DeleteFirst of, Jesus CHOSE to live that way to emphasis humility and show us that earthly stuffs weren't his priority and shouldn't be ours too.....and he was never hungry either.. He fasted and was hungry which is very normal... He always had a place to lay his head... Secondly... He had to die for you and I to live today.... So talking bout all that he went thru was actually part of the process.... The bible says that 'our righteousness is like a filthy rag before God'....I'm sure you understand what that means.... The point here is who are you to call another person a sinner? She just judged another person and made it clear that she lives a better and 'righteous' life before God and yet things aren't going the way they should.... Honey.. Judgement is for The Lord...you can't judge a book by its cover... And besides we all serve God differently.... The fine line between good and bad is very flexible... God loved us enough to send Jesus to DIE for us 'sinners'......you are not allowed to place judgement on anyone just because you perceive them to be in a certain way.... That's not fair and this is coming from a concerned person...
DeleteTibs,I wasn't judging the girl. All I was saying was I'm a faithful servant of God and trust me I do all that I'm meant to do so as to make heaven. I will never judge a person but I know this girl well. She does runz 4 a living and I'm not judging her at all. I was just saying at some point I was having evil thoughts of going the same direction since all the people I know that are doing runz have money. Maybe its a test from God o but I'm convinced I will never go down that lane. No1 should chose to do evil cos of their present situation. So do you think evil should be paid back with evil? DeleteDear auntie moby,I come 4rm a family where my mum supports our academics cos my dad my dad is retired...she rains abuses on any1 she gives money to...u don't want 2 imagine...sometimes its frustrating and its worse wen u have no helper...I have made a decision already...just felt dis little is worthy 2 b shared.

DeleteGood morning Erniesha. When I decided to put up this post, I knew there was someone somewhere that would read it and feel touched. I've been in Anon 11:49's shoes before. I was this close to doing runz.I was considering it big time cos most of my friends were doing it and I was getting offers that were life changing. Let me mention here,I was very very broke at that time so you can imagine how tempting that must have been. Nothing should ever make evil look good. What is evil is evil. Didn't Job in the bible go through worse. Didn't Joseph enocunter issues? But their problems wasn't enough to make them do evil. No one is judging anyone. Not judging a book by its cover but you can tell if someone is an unbeliever just by the things they say. Romans 12 vs 2 says 'and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,that ye may prove what is good,and acceptable,and perfect,will of God. Nothing should ever push you into being a thief, or a prostitute or going to do voodoo or going to a stripper's club.I hope you understand where I'm coming from Tibs. Thanks.
