"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Then God said...’

-Genesis 1:1-3
There are various challenges we go through as children of God from time to time, especially when we know and believe that God has spoken to us and He is in what we are doing, but things are not just taking shape. When God ‘created’ the heavens and the earth, the earth was still without form and void, it seems nothing was working, the bible says the earth was without form and darkness covered the earth.
We need to know that God is a God of process and order, and His ways are not our ways.
In the midst of the emptiness and formlessness, God ‘spoke’, we need to speak His Word over our lives and situations and hold on to it until we see our change.
It’s the beginning of a new week and God is set to do new things in your life this week, believe it, hold on to it and declare it. God’s Word cannot fail, it always brings forth fruit,(Num 23:19) for at the end of it all, ‘God looked over all he had made, and He saw that it was very good’, (Genesis 1:31).
Words are powerful, they can either make or mar you, that is why God’s Word has to be given first place in our lives, we must know it, believe it and confess it. We cannot afford to be confessing the negatives we see around us, we must say what God is saying about our lives and situations. God’s word might not be sequential (happen to our timing), but it’s always consequential. (It will definitely produce fruits). Isa 55:11…’ It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.’
Jesus also said in Matt 28:34 that ‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away’.

CONFESSION
I refuse to be moved by the things that are not working at the moment, I choose to hold on to God and His word. My situation will turn out to be very good in Jesus name. Halleluiah!
This is indeed The Word for this season. So much negative talk going on these days, especially on account of ebola disease. We all need to remember to put God's word in our mouth for that is the sword of the Spirit, which we must use to attack the enemy. Thanks Moby, GBU.
