MOUTH OR BODY ODOR....... I DON'T MIND

Happy Sunday oo brethren. I hope you all went to church? Some us still don't know the essence of fellowshipping with others of similar faith. Well it’s good to dedicate just one day to commune with fellow worshippers in the presence of the most high (let me not enter my skabash mode). Anyway prayer is good, going to Church is wonderful. If you don’t do these, give it a try. Practice whatever religion you follow (Christianity, Islam, etc.) and I’m certain the God you serve would turn up for you…and me too. Amen.
Hmmmn….So for today’s matter …..
I went to Church ooo (as a skirt wearing Christian sister) and after the service, I got talking to a fellow Church member and during our conversation, I just started getting dizzy, as in, I just couldn't concentrate (brethren no be easy thing oo). There was a particular odor oozing from the persons direction to mine. It was as if a brand new anointing was falling from somewhere. But I wasn't sure if it was mouth odor or body odor but it definitely was a very unpalatable odor. So as I leaned closer to be sure, I discovered the odor only came when the person opened his mouth. The look on my face was more like this

Immediately I concluded it was mouth odor. And just when I was about to escape, the brother decided to want to share his testimony with me (see wahala) and he started his testimony with 'In 1991'. That’s when I knew I was in for it. Anyway I sha found a way to discharge LOL.
On our way home, I decided to ask boo which he prefers and could tolerate: mouth or body odor and he said 'mouth odor'. Shett *in my fake British accent*. He said mouth odor could still be controlled as compared to body odor (omode o m'ogun o n pe l'efo meaning a child doesn't know drugs he calls it vegetable. I hope I got it right o ). He has not smelt mouth odor that's why he's talking.. As for me, I can't stand mouth odor. No way! I understand having early morning bad breath; we all probably  have that.....that's still understandable. But bad breath after u don chop, brush, probably kiss??....naaaah I'm sorry o..(try swallow alum or something abeg).
Some years back, my sister was dating this guy that had a very terrible breath, the type that makes you shed unplanned tears during a conversation that probably isn’t even a sad one. This guy's breath was all that was needed to convince Pharaoh to free the Israelites (heee hee I know my Bible small). It was so bad, my sister caught the vibe. She too started giving wrong emissions whenever she decided to express her mind. (lobatan! Love in sharing things). Anyway they eventually broke up…. and I have a feeling it must have been something the guy said…LOL
For Moby ooo, the only odor I can manage (na MANAGE I talk o) is body odor. I've smelt terrible body odors (there are people that would make Olusosun Refuse dump smell good). I can still stand that one..at least even when you’re talking with such a person, you might be lucky the direction of the wind would favor you and blow the 'givings' away but mouth odor is a disaster. No wind can redirect it’s direction. If it’s coming at you, it would get you…fully! I just can't deal with it mhen (that’s my borrowed American accent). So to everyone that has some sort of odor, NEWS FLASH...it can be fixed. If and only if it’s not a curse or maybe someone is following you from your father's village. LOL
Strange as it may seem, many people with bad odor (both mouth and body) are unaware of their rather unpleasant attachments
Mouth odor is also known as Halitosis. The odors could be due to local problems like chronic tooth decay or gum disease, poor oral hygiene or mouth infections. You should check this out with a dentist. The body odors might be localized (that’s within you). Maybe certain parts of your body are sweatier than others and there may be some yeast infection(s) either under your arms, your groin areas or on your feet. It could also emanate as a result of an unbalanced diet so you might want to see a specialist (dermatologist) to have yourself checked out (and if symptoms persist after a while, see a Babalawo..LOL).
Basically, your diet should contain as much fresh foods as possible (and conversely as little processed food as possible), only moderate amounts of alcohol and coffee and you should avoid too much fat.
Wash with soap daily particularly your armpits, groin and feet where there are many sweat producing glands. Washing removes sweat and reduces the numbers of bacteria that act upon it. Some people have more sweat and oil producing glands than others. If you sweat a lot, you may need to shower two or three times a day.
The use of antiperspirants and deodorants should be routine (Flit or Otapiapia for extreme cases..*Wink* LOL). It's worth trying a few because they have different active ingredients, and you'll find some work better than others. Deodorants work by masking the smell of sweat with fragrance, while anti-perspirants reduce the amount of sweat your body produces. Roll-ons tend to be more effective for heavy sweating. But for one babe in my secondary school, antiperspirant, roll on and all those orisirisi didn't work for her o. Ehn...wetin she no use? Me sef use scope tell am about one perfume wey my maale dey use.  Her body odor was so bad that whenever she used those things, it seemed to provoke the odor to come out stronger..(if that’s you please take any of my ‘alternative’ suggestions)
Another useful trick is to shave your armpits. Armpit hair provides a greater surface area for sweat to adhere to and gives the bacteria a fertile breeding ground. You're lucky if you have no fast hair growth in your armpit unlike me, I have to shave every 5 days *covers face*.
It is also essential to wash clothes thoroughly particularly clothing that comes into contact with sweaty areas such as socks, underwear and shirts. Never repeat clothing items before washing. This is because the clothes will retain the smell of sweat from the previous day.
You should also drink a lot of water. Asides from curtailing body and mouth odor, water has a lot of health benefits. I'm guilty of taking lots of fizzy drinks but I try to drink lots of water when I get the chance.
One more thing, if you smoke, you are on your own. Your case is on a different level.
The good news is that although this is a real and common problem, it is highly unlikely that it means you have any kind of disease.
So if I spoke to you today in church and at some point the reaction on my face changed, please take caution. I want to see a change by the next time we speak. LOL (some people go fight me ooo).
So tell me, which can you tolerate, Body or Mouth odor??? Let’s hear your view(s) and your experience(s) with negative aroma LOL.

And finally, to the girls that have been expecting a proposal from your boyfriend of 9 years, use Arsenal as your point of contact. It will surely come. Have a lovely week from Moby *winks*

    1. I'm assuming the person you want to show has some sort of odor. Please before you show the person, let him/her know you care about him/her so they won't take it the wrong way.
